About the event

Join us for an extraordinary event, Psychedelics in the South, which will explore the science, application, and legislative actions happening in Alabama to bring psychedelic-assisted treatment for mental health to your state. Get ready to learn from the pioneers in your state who have been instrumental in forging this therapeutic path forward in the South.

Date: Sunday, March 3, 2024

Time: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time)

Location: Clubhouse On Highland, Highland Avenue, Birmingham, AL, USA

We will be bringing together experts from your state on the research, the implementation, and the experience of psychedelic-assisted treatment to share knowledge, experiences, and insights. Speakers from multiple entry points into psychedelic-assisted treatment will offer engaging presentations that explore the history, science, therapeutic application, efficacy and outcome, religious intersection, legal and legislative trajectory of psychedelic-assisted treatment for mental health.

Discover how these substances have been used for centuries in different cultures and gain a deeper understanding of their scientific effects on the brain and body, and the therapeutic effects on mental and emotional health. Connect with like-minded individuals and become an educated and informed advocate of this healing path.

Whether you are at a curious entry point into this discussion wanting to learn more, or a seasoned practitioner in this work wanting to network, this event is for you. Psychedelics in the South offers a safe and inclusive space for all attendees. All proceeds go to Southeast Coalition of Psychedelic Practitioners, 501c3, which has banded 6 states in the Southeast US to assist those seeking psychedelic-assisted treatment with the financial cost, as well as assist practitioners with the cost of training to better serve our region of the nation. The SECPP is also active in public and legislative reform so our region has equal and equitable access to this therapeutic treatment.
